The Production
The play chronicles events in the lives of eight characters each of whom sits on the village fete committee. The first act sees the committee sitting to plan the summer fete. The second act recounts events on the actual day of this always traumatic annual event. The eight participants are drawn with warmth and compassion and anyone who has ever lived in a village or sat on a committee of any sort will recognise at least sopme of the characters.
Our production was very successful and clearly appealed to our village supporters, attracting near capacity audiences at every venue.
